Since joining us in 2004, Jeff Richardson has greatly contributed to CTR and our clients through his work ethic, integrity, and insight into marketing. He spends most days finding new ways to build bridges amongst our team, our clients, and our community. He loves seeing how the office space of a company can radically impact the culture of that organization, and in turn, impact the overall performance of the team. Read on to get to know more about Jeff and all the great things he brings to CTR!
What’s the best part about working in commercial real estate?
It exposes me to so many different people and industries. And it gives me the opportunity to hopefully improve someone’s work environment and, in turn, their lives.
Where’s your favorite place to take a client for bite to eat?
Anywhere that has great BBQ! (Do you see a theme forming here? CTR loves barbecue!)
Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram?
Mostly Twitter and sometimes Facebook
Give us three words to describe your family.
Chaotic, Disney-fied (yes, that’s a word), and unified
If you had an unexpected day off, what would you do with your day?
I’d take a long run in the morning, cook breakfast on the grill, and then grill/smoke something all day for dinner while watching Alabama football.
What’s the last picture you took on your iPhone?
A video of my son playing soccer.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
You probably couldn’t tell, but I was valedictorian of my high school (although it was an Alabama school!). And I absolutely hate meatloaf.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
The Arctic. The beauty and stillness amaze me. (Side note: does anyone have any extra North Face gear or REI coupons I can borrow to prep for this trip?)
What’s one thing you think anyone thinking about leasing or buying commercial real estate should know?
It’s a very different industry than residential real estate. The two don’t work in the same way. And that’s why having someone you can trust to assist you in the process truly will save you time and money.
What do you most look forward to about going to work each day?
I love spending time with people and seeing progress happen for our clients.
